Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. Every project begins with an initial consultation to discuss your ideas, fabrics, styles and practical requirements. If you'd like me to visit your home outside my local area, a travel charge may apply.

Which areas do you cover?

I'm based near Reading and work throughout Berkshire and Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. If you're located further afield, please get in touch and I'll be happy to discuss your project.

Can you work remotely?

Yes. If you already have accurate measurements, I can create you beautifully made curtains, Roman blinds and soft furnishings without needing to visit your home.

Ordering and Lead Times

​

How long will my order take?

My typical lead time is around 6–8 weeks from confirmation of your order. This can vary depending on fabric availability and the size of your project, but I'll always keep you updated throughout the process.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. A deposit is required before work begins to cover part of the labour and any materials that need to be ordered specifically for your project.

​

Can I supply my own fabric?

Of course. You're welcome to supply your own fabric, although I'll first check that it's suitable for your chosen product. A surcharge applies to customer-supplied fabrics.

Curtains

Can you make curtains for unusual windows?

Yes. Every set of curtains is made to measure, whether you have bay windows, extra-wide windows, long drops or more unusual spaces.

Can you use my existing curtain pole or track?

In many cases, yes. I'll assess whether your existing pole or track is suitable and recommend alternatives if it isn't.

Can you help me choose fabrics?

Absolutely. Choosing fabric can feel overwhelming, so I'm happy to guide you through colours, textures, patterns and practical considerations such as privacy, light control and durability.

Roman Blinds

Do you make Roman blinds?

Yes. Roman blinds are one of my most popular products and are handmade to fit your windows perfectly.

Can Roman blinds be blackout?

Yes. Blackout lining is available, making Roman blinds an excellent choice for bedrooms, nurseries and media rooms.

Measuring and Installation

Do you offer a measuring service?

Yes. Accurate measuring is essential for a beautiful finish, so I offer a professional measuring service to ensure everything fits perfectly.

Do you install curtains and blinds?

Yes. I can professionally install your curtains, poles, tracks and Roman blinds, ensuring everything is finished to the highest standard.

Alterations & Soft Furnishings

Can you alter existing curtains?

Often, yes. If your curtains can be successfully altered, I'll discuss the options with you before any work begins.

Can you make matching cushions or accessories?

Yes. I can create coordinating cushions, seat pads and other soft furnishings to complete the look of your room.

How much do bespoke curtains or blinds cost?

Every project is individually priced depending on the size of your windows, fabric choice, lining, heading style and any installation requirements. Once we've discussed your project, I'll provide a detailed quotation with no obligation.

​Occasionally fabrics have longer lead times than expected. If this happens, I'll keep you informed throughout and discuss suitable alternatives if you'd prefer not to wait.

Can I order fabric samples?

Yes. I always recommend viewing fabrics in your own home so you can see how they look in natural and artificial light before making your final decision.

Caring for Your Curtains & Blinds

How should I care for my curtains and blinds?

​Most curtains and Roman blinds benefit from regular light vacuuming using a soft brush attachment. Depending on the fabric, professional cleaning may occasionally be recommended. I'll provide care advice specific to your chosen fabrics when your order is complete.
